Grapevine Kennels is a small kennel located in the Appalachian mountains of Eastern Kentucky.  Our passion is grouse hunting and our goal is to produce a dog that train easy and are natural bird finders.  All of the dogs that we have in our breeding program are all natural dogs, no force broke stuff or brood bitches here.  It is very important that our dogs retrieve in the terrain that we hunt in so we only breed dogs that are natural to retrieving along with the other instincts that make a good grouse dog.  We have had dogs from many different English setter bloodlines through the years and we have culled and selected things that we like in a dog.  Our dogs have to hunt at a good range but not to obsessive in regards to range.  They must be able to adapt to the cover because we have different types of cover and their range must very according to the cover that they are hunting.  Feel free to call after dark at 606-439-0125 for more information about our dogs.
